Sidney Glayzer died from wounds on 20th October, 1914, while a prisoner of war but as yet there is no information as to when and where he was wounded or captured The 1st Royal West Kent battalion was part of 13 Brigade, 5th Division that had been on the Western Front since the outbreak of war in August. 1914 and had been involved in much of the fighting since then. |
